Building Resilience. Breaking Stigmas. Bridging Cultures.
At the NorCal Punjabi Youth Foundation (NPYF), we believe that the potential of our youth is often locked behind the barriers of underserved resources and cultural misunderstandings. Our mission is to provide a holistic 'Scholar-Athlete' sanctuary where the grit of the ring meets the power of the voice. We exist to empower the next generation of leaders in Northern California by integrating professional physical discipline with technical literacy and emotional intelligence.
Why We Do It
In many of our underserved communities, the hours between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM are a critical window. Without a 'Third Space'—a place that isn't home and isn't school—youth are often left without a sense of belonging, making them vulnerable to drug use and loss of cultural identity.
NPYF is that Third Space. We are more than an after-school program; we are a foundation of strength for Punjabi youth and our neighbors from all underserved cultures. We are here to prove that where you come from doesn't dictate where you can go. We are breaking the stigma of mental health, providing the tools for financial and academic success, and keeping our community connected to its roots.
Our Core Purpose
To Cultivate Discipline
Through professional-grade combat sports, we teach youth to master their bodies, regulate their emotions, and find strength in struggle.
To Amplify Voices
Through our podcasting and public speaking modules, we give youth the technical skills and the confidence to tell their own stories and break generational silences.
To Foster Community
By providing a 'Safe Harbor' and near-peer mentorship, we ensure that every youth—regardless of their background or their parents' education level—has a roadmap to success.
